The Firm
Howard Design Group was founded by Liz Dreher Howard in
1975. Howard is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID)
and is a former national president of the 32,000 member association which has 49
chapters throughout the United States. It is the largest organization of
professional designers in the world.
Howard is the only interior designer in the state of Hawaii to be elected to the
ASID College of Fellows.
Liz Howard, FASID
Howard holds a degree from Briarcliff College. She also
attended the Parsons School of Design in both New York City and Paris, France.
She worked for Western Contract Furnishers as an interior designer from 1964 -
1975. In 1975 she founded Liz Howard Designs. From 1977 - 1982 she was one of
the owners of Howard's at the Greenery, a Honolulu furniture store. She was
raised in Honolulu.
